Hotels in Bruges: The Church of Our Lady
This imposing Roman Catholic church was built between the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries and is most famous for housing the only one of Michelangelo's works to leave Italy in his lifetime, the marble statue of Madonna with Child.
Also of note within this church is Anthony Van Dyke's Crucifixion of Christ, the impressive rococo style pulpit and the tombs of Charles the Bold, Duke of Burgundy and his daughter Mary.
On the outside, the church tower is the highest in Bruges, reaching 122 metres in height.
